In our project group, we are working on creating a foundation of research for Lisman Laboratory’s upcoming Epigenetics Review Paper. Unlike Lisman’s previous research on Epigenetic adaptation which focused on more short lived species, we are directing our research towards species with longer life spans, more specifically gymnosperms.
As of now, we have created a detailed research portfolio full of relevant articles, data sets, and analysis. We are currently scanning different databases for resources relevant to our topic and taking thorough analytical notes. As we progress through the research phase, we will continue to gain a strong grasp of epigenetics, DNA methylation, and additional topics that will be covered in the writing process.
Once completed, the information gathered from these articles will build the basis of our review paper as we begin the outlining process.
In the preceding week we hope to have a comprehensive list of all of the noteworthy facts and talking points of the papers we have read so far. We also would like to start our outline.Throughout the year we will continue to read papers on epigenetics until we feel we have a sufficient amount of information to compile into a review paper.
